In November of 2024, after more than a year of the Chamber advocating on its behalf, H.RES 554 was finally passed into legislation, affirming the critical importance of U.S. support for religious and ethnic minorities in Iraq, especially considering the challenges they continue to face. The Resolution supports the return of displaced minorities to their ancestral land and requests the Iraqi Government restore and uphold the constitutional and administrative rights of Chaldeans and other minority populations.
